Is AI astrology accurate?

The calculations are exact to the arc-second. The interpretation is consistent and classical. What no astrology can do — AI or human — is turn a chart into certainty.

The calculation layer is exact

Planetary longitudes from the Swiss Ephemeris agree with observatory data to fractions of an arc-second. Given the same birth details, the engine produces the same lagna degree, the same nakshatra pada, the same Vimshottari dates every time. This is where AI astrology is strictly better than a hurried human: it never mis-adds a dasha balance or drops a sign boundary.

The interpretation layer is consistent

Because the astrologer reads a computed chart and is checked against it, the facts in a reading never contradict the chart. Two readings of the same chart will differ in phrasing, not in placements. Where classical texts disagree, the reading says so and says which side is heavier.

Where the limits are

Birth time. A lagna moves one degree every four minutes; a birth time known only to the nearest half hour puts the ascendant within about seven degrees — usually the same sign, sometimes not. BhagyaX resolves your birthplace to the exact coordinates and uses the time-zone offset that was actually in force at your birth instant, including daylight saving and India's 1942–45 war time, so nothing is lost on our side. What we cannot fix is a wrong time on the certificate.

Prediction itself. Dashas and transits describe windows and tendencies, not events. A good reading commits to a window and grades its confidence; it does not promise.

Questions

Can AI astrology be more accurate than a human astrologer?

On the computed facts, yes: it does not make arithmetic mistakes and it does not forget a factor. On judgement and counsel, an experienced human still brings things a model does not.

Why do different apps give different charts?

Different ayanamsas (Lahiri, Raman, KP) shift every sign boundary by up to a degree or more, and some apps use tropical positions. BhagyaX uses Lahiri sidereal, the Indian standard, and says so.

What if my birth time is unknown?

Leave it blank. The chart is cast for noon and the reading tells you which statements it can and cannot rely on.
